One of the greatest musical influences in Slovenia is definitely alternative mixture of pop and rock music. On this basis a lot of bands were established in Ljubljana in the 90's. Creation of grunge music, which dominated the world music scene from the late 80's to middle 90's, was characterised by a lot of courage and freedom; it didn't take any regard of trend music. Before that punk music was developing in a similar way.

FluFlu was formed at the beginning of the new century, though the music had been made before in another band, Dropped D (Alice in Chains tribute), which then fell apart into two groups and thus trio FluFlu was formed. Afterwards began the making of demos. A few more people participated in making music in a studio by playing an instrument or singing. Suddenly, there was a need, or maybe it was just an idea, to include more members in the band.

The first performance of FluFlu included seven people and it took place at the first Šumski rock festival in Mostec, Ljubljana. Two days later FluFlu performed at Rock Otočec festival. At that time the band included the trio as well as Neža Buh, Gorazd Buh, Boris Bizjak and Tina Stanković. This was also the last concert to include all these members. In addition to Neža and Gorazd, Diana Filipovič later on contributed her vocals to the band. As a trio, FluFlu performed at Newcomer festival in Graz, Rockajada festival and Youngunz festival in year 2005.
